Many visitors means many questions. Daily, we are asked all sorts of questions. For example „ How much time should I plan for the visit?” or „Can I bring my dog into the exhibition?” On this page, you can find answers to the most frequently asked questions. Is your question missing? Contact us! We are happy to assist you.

The KOENIGSSTUHL National Park Centre is wheelchair accessible. All storeys are accessible via elevators and the Centre has several handicap accessible toilets. The shuttle bus to the Hagen car park is low-entry and wheelchair accessible. The only exception is restricted access to the Koenigsstuhl observation platform due a Bronze age burial mound. For the blind and visually impaired, we have a Braille version of the brochure „Jasmund National Park, Chalk Cliffs at the Sea”.
Of course you can make a donation to the National Park Centre. We greatly appreciate your support. And every euro counts. Donation information: To: Nationalpark-Zentrum Königsstuhl HypoVB Rostock, IBAN: DE 8720 0300 0006 3861 2218, BIC: HYVEDEMM300 Your donation will go directly to the KOENIGSSTUHL National Park Centre to improve and develop our facilities, for example for the environmental education programme, grounds maintenance, expansion of the exhibition or improvements in environmentally friendly traffic and visitor management.
You have many options! You can visit the exhibition and cinema in the Centre, or go to Ruegen‘s renowned chalk cliff right next door, the 118 metre-high Koenigsstuhl. Furthermore, you can take any number of hikes through the wonderful Jasmund National Park or purchase regional and environmentally friendly souvenirs. Naturally, the Centre also has a restaurant that serves regional dishes and where you can enjoy a break on one of our sunny terraces.
You can take a public bus (RPNV Linie #20) from Sassnitz or hop on the shuttle bus (Linie# 19) at the Hagen car park. Both drop you off directly in front of the KOENIGSSTUHL National Park Centre. If you are travelling on foot, you can choose among several hiking trails. From Hagen, the trail takes you through the forest, whereas the clifftop trail from Sassnitz has wonderful views of the picturesque chalk coast. Bicycle and bridle paths are also well-marked.
We are opened 364 days of the year, including Christmas, New Year, Easter and Pentecost. However, the KOENIGSSTUHL National Park Centre is closed on 24 December. From Easter to 31 October, the Centre is open daily from 9 am to 7 pm. From 1 November to Easter, we are available to you from 10 am to 5 pm. We look forward to your visit!
The exhibition is appropriate for children older than four years of age. And we have a special treat: children can explore the exhibition together with Mimi, the mouse and Krax, the raven.
The film in the multi-vision cinema takes 15 minutes and restarts every 20 minutes.
Generally, there is no need to reserve tickets for the exhibition or the multi-vision cinema. If you are travelling in a group of 10 or more persons, we suggest you reserve online in advance.
In order to experience the exhibition in its entirety, you will need between 45 minutes and 1.5 hours. Have fun!
We very much welcome pets at the Centre. They can be brought anywhere on the grounds, except to the exhibition and to the multi-vision cinema. While master and mistress are enjoying the exhibition, Buddy & Co can rest up in the shady doggie bar with bowl of fresh water. Dogs must be held on a leash at all times – for the safely of the wild animals and other guests.
