Travelling by bus/train

Environmentally friendly by bus + train to the Königsstuhl

The train from Stralsund goes to Sassnitz. From there you can reach the Königsstuhl on line 23, which also runs as a harbour bus via the town harbour. You can also reach the chalk cliffs directly from the north of the island (line 13 to Sassnitz or line 14 to Hagen).

Please note that dogs traveling on buses on Rügen must wear a muzzle if they are not in a closed transport box.
