The film "The Voice of the Forest" takes you on an extraordinary journey through the UNESCO World Heritage Site in the Jasmund National Park - narrated by a 180-year-old beech tree and nature filmmaker Dirk Steffens.

On 25 June 2011, Germany's ancient beech forests were declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The KÖNIGSSTUHL National Park Centre has created a special memorial to this occasion: a visually impressive film, designed for the in-house multivision cinema with circular projection on three screens...

Dirk Steffens is one of Germany's best-known nature film makers. As the presenter of Terra X and UN ambassador for biodiversity, he inspires an audience of millions for nature conservation.

For the film "The Voice of the Forest", he brings his long-standing connection with the Jasmund National Park to bear. He began filming nature footage here early on - today he is committed to preserving biodiversity with projects such as the Biodiversity Foundation.
