Naturalist" workshop

What's creeping and crawling here? You take on the role of a biologist and carry out real mapping on the grounds of the KÖNIGSSTUHL National Park Centre under the supervision of a guide. You will learn field research methods, from marking the study area, observing and counting existing plants and animals to carefully collecting and identifying samples. Afterwards, you will have the opportunity to explore the adventure exhibition in the centre with an audio guide and learn more about the diverse habitats in Jasmund National Park.

Before or after:

  • Independent visit to the indoor adventure exhibition with audio guide
  • Multivision cinema with the UNESCO World Heritage film "The Voice of the Forest" by and with Dirk Steffens
  • View from the barrier-free Skywalk
  • Individual exploration of the outdoor area with discovery stations and playground


Good to know:

  • Offer suitable for all class levels, age-appropriate approach
  • Number of participants per group: min. 10 max. 30 pupils
  • Duration of workshop: 2 hours
  • Duration of the whole programme: approx. 3 to 4 hours
  • Possible languages of the guide: German, English, Spanish
  • Depending on the weather, outside: only possible on the outdoor area of the centre, or inside in the MiKraLa
