At the KÖNIGSSTUHL National Park Centre, you can experience nature on Rügen on your own terms: with low-barrier paths, an accessible exhibition, the barrier-free Königsstuhl Skywalk and inclusive activities that we are constantly developing further.
Since it opened in 2004, ensuring an accessible visitor experience at the Königsstuhl has been a priority. In recent years, barriers have been reduced and facilities further developed. The modernisation carried out in 2023 has enabled many areas to be redesigned and significantly improved.

Yes, the outdoor area is step-free and the Skywalk is designed to be accessible. The exhibition and the cinema are also accessible to visitors with reduced mobility. Lifts enable visitors with walking difficulties and wheelchair users (accompanied by an exhibition attendant) to access all areas of the exhibition. The centre is also equipped with several accessible toilets. The shuttle bus from the Hagen car park is a low-floor bus suitable for wheelchairs. The only place where wheelchair users require assistance is at the ticket office, on the slope leading up to the site. Our service team will be happy to help.
Yes, it is fully accessible and particularly well suited to wheelchair users and pushchairs. It was also built without a glass floor so that people with a fear of heights can enjoy the experience too.
Yes. Visitors with a blue EU parking permit can use two designated accessible parking spaces in the immediate vicinity of the KÖNIGSSTUHL National Park Centre. Otherwise, direct access to the Königsstuhl by car is not permitted in order to protect the national park.
Bus route 19 runs directly from the Hagen main car park to the National Park Centre. From Sassnitz, you can reach us on bus route 23 directly from the railway station, the town centre and the harbour. Both routes, operated by Verkehrsgesellschaft Vorpommern-Rügen (VVR), are served by low-floor buses.
Yes. If the disability card bears the ‘B’ mark, an accompanying person is entitled to free admission.
At the KÖNIGSSTUHL National Park Centre, visitor numbers are at their highest around midday and during the summer season. We therefore recommend that guests wishing to enjoy the facilities in a more peaceful setting should always arrive right at opening time or in the late afternoon, and should also consider visiting during the off-peak season.

If you are travelling by bus, please note that dogs not travelling in a closed carrier must wear a muzzle. You can purchase these from our shop on site. They are not available at the car park in Hagen.
